Well, it is the S Plus version - that's sport and luxury, so you can be grounded to the ground in comfort.

ew, why

The N/A drive divines from the ether the ratio of engine speed to wheel speed, which will vary based on your own sense of self satisfaction.
...which will be pretty low after having spent entry-level luxury money on a Corolla.

God that thing's a horrible mess, a really expensive horrible mess.

And for the same or less money you could have...
Acura ILX Premium - $29,900
Audi A3 1.8 TFSI stripper - $29,900
Buick Regal 2.0T - $30,915
Buick Verano Turbo Premium - $30,140
Ford Fiesta ST (with a bunch of goodies) - $23,560
Ford Focus ST (with a bunch of goodies) - $26,935
Scion FR-S - $25,670
Subaru BRZ Limited - $28,490
Subaru WRX Limited - $30,790
Oh hell, I was trying to make a more complete list but that's as far as I got. Which wasn't very far. Fuck that Corolla.

Or a GTI, or an Ecoboost Mustang, or a Mazda6.

That can't be right, this is fully loaded, even including the TRD muffler, strut tower bar, emergency kit, and all the body protection stuff,of and door sill moldings that say Corolla. Total price is still under 27,000

if you or Toyota paid me $30k , it still wouldn't be enough to drive a Corolla , not even for a day.

The sad part is some SOB will buy that car for $30K. You can get a fully optioned Dart for $24K

For Toyota, the margins on a $30k Corolla are probably close to that of your average high end smartphone (30-50%), and you're right; a non trivial amount of people totally will skip the entry level luxury cars and almost everything else on the market for this because they've been buying nothing but toyotas forever.
This is both a brilliant and disgusting business model. Wish I'd thought of it first.
